The British summer is only reliable in being consistently unreliable.
One minute there's rain, then thunderstorms, flooding, a heatwave thrown in for good measure and so much humidity.
By some good fortune the weather at Splendour Festival has generally been pretty pleasant, discounting the downpours of 2017, but let's not talk about that.
So what is in store for this year's event taking place at Wollaton Park on Saturday, July 20?
At the moment the Met Office is predicting somewhat of a mixed bag - surprise, surprise - with cloud, sunshine and showers all forecast over the course of the day.
When the gates open at 11.30am there will be sunny intervals, a 20 percent chance of rain and highs of 20C.
From 4pm onwards there will be a 40 percent chance of light showers and highs of 21C.
It will be a dry but partly cloudy night for the trip home for festival-goers.
But then the weather has been messing us around more than the lads at the Love Island villa so it could be all change by Saturday.
