Taoiseach Micheal Martin has called a meeting with the hospitality sector amid the soaring Covid cases right across the country.
Nightclubs have been open a little over two weeks now while pubs are a little closer to normal thanks to October 18 changes.
But the Department of the Taoiseach has called a meeting with hospitality representatives over concerns guidelines aren't being followed.
The meeting will take place on Tuesday where latest disease data will be presented and discussed.
Regulations and guidelines will also be on the table as survey data shows that many businesses are not following the rules strictly.
And the Taoiseach sent a strong message to hospitality warning "if we do not engender a sense of collective effort, it will severely hamper our capacity to get transmission under control."
The statement adds: "In turn, this will limit our options in terms of reducing the burden of disease and mortality of this latest wave."
The number of cases is nearly tipping 4,000 with a total of 3,903 confirmed cases of Covid-19 on Friday alone. Hospital numbers have also risen to over 450.
Dr Tony Holohan said the number “is a very concerning figure and a stark reminder that this virus is highly contagious.”
Dr Holohan said: “This is not a situation any of us want to be in, but our reality remains that we are still in the midst of a global pandemic."
