Will install loudspeakers blaring mantras in Aligarh: ABVP

AGRA: BJP student organisation Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) announced on Wednesday that it will install loudspeakers at 21 crossings across Aligarh to “propagate Hinduism by playing the Hanuman Chalisa”. The organisation urged the district administration to give them permission for the same but added, “We will be forced to install loudspeakers on our own if the administration denies us permission.”

Meanwhile, additional district magistrate (city) Rakesh Kumar Patel told TOI that an application seeking a nod for it was received on Wednesday and permission had been denied. “They will not be allowed to do this,” he said, adding that if they go against the government’s decision, “action will be taken against them”.
