Will Ferrell crashes Seattle Seahawks' video call as Greg Olsen

Will Ferrell crashed a recent video meeting with the Seattle Seahawks in a funny new clip, pretending to be the team’s new tight end Greg Olsen.

The Seattle Seahawks’ Twitter account shared a video of the moment on Twitter.

Laughs can be heard as Ferrell (a friend of Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll) appears in a Seahawks jersey, giving his best Olsen impression.

“Coach, thanks so much, so excited to be here,” the comedian says.

He can then be heard telling quarterback Russell Wilson: “Excited to play with you, Russ. Russ, I love you.

“I mean, I love you. I love the way you play. I love the way you handle yourself as a human being.”

Ferrell later lifts his shirt, telling the players: “Look, I know what you’re thinking: I’m an older guy. I’m 36.” (The real Olsen is 35, while Ferrell is 52.)

The comedian adds: “But I’ve been working out, don’t worry. I mean, does this look like the body of a 36-year-old? I don’t think so.”

Olsen signed with the Seahawks in February.

The 2020 NFL season is scheduled to begin on 10 September, with the Super Bowl on 7 February – but the coronavirus pandemic could change those plans.
