Jay will become a source of support for Honey following her sex assault on EastEnders.
But their closeness is sparking speculation from fans that a romance could flourish between the pair.
As Honey went on her date with Paul, Jay was the only one to notice that something wasn't quiet right after she left him a garbled voicemail.
Jay ended up chasing off Paul and calling 999 - but how will their relationship develop in the coming weeks?
After reporting the crime, Honey will meet DI Ward for an update on the case.
They are seen by Billy and jay is forced to tell him what happened to Honey, which is against her initial wishes.
Honey goes on to inform them both that Paul was arrested and that they found the video of her on his phone, but that he has been released on bail.
Billy is furious and storms off, with a worried Jay later following him as he worries what he might do.
Jay finds Billy with a brick in his hands, about to attack Paul...
Later on in the week, Honey meets with DI Ward and Jay, the latter of whom is in awe of her strength.
He goes on to discuss flats with Lola, but tells her he needs to leave to check up on Honey.
