Will Compton reminds Mike Vrabel, Titans that he’s ready if they call

One former Tennessee Titans player who remains available on the open market ahead of the 2021 campaign is linebacker Will Compton — and he wants head coach Mike Vrabel to know he’s ready if the team comes calling.

Compton recently got married and is currently on his honeymoon, but that hasn’t stopped him from hitting the gym and staying in shape just in case Tennessee — or another team — decides to bring him in for training camp.

The 31-year-old Nebraska product has spent two of the last three seasons in Nashville, contributing on both defense and special teams. Most importantly, Compton is “for the boys.”

The Titans already have a fairly crowded situation at inside linebacker, as Jayon Brown, Rashaan Evans, David Long and Monty Rice all figure to make the roster out of training camp.

However, Tennessee did bring five inside linebackers into the 2020 season, with Compton being one of them, so there could be one more spot up for grabs at the position.

Compton, who hosts the wildly successful “Bussin’ With The Boys” podcast with Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan, has become a fan-favorite during his time in Nashville. Titans fans certainly wouldn’t mind seeing the team give him a shot to make the roster.
