Will Celtic complete the treble Treble with Scottish Cup victory over Hearts? Monday Jury

Celtic and Hearts have both booked their place in the Scottish Cup final on May 25. Who will win?

Celtic players celebrate their win over Aberdeen (Ian MacNicol)

Michael Gannon: Celtic. Hearts have brute strength but the holders have more angles of attack and they can punish the Jambos on the huge Hampden pitch.

Craig Swan: Celtic will now go onto life the silverware. Yesterday’s clash had the feeling of a Final before the Final.

Euan MacLean: Can’t help thinking that yesterday was the real cup final with Aberdeen posing the greatest threat to Celtic’s treble Treble. Having cleared that hurdle, I can’t see Hearts stopping the winning bandwagon from rumbling on.

Tony Haggerty: Celtic. The Hoops have enough brain in the midfield areas and in attack to overcome the brawn and sheer physicality of Hearts and they will go on to create another slice of Scottish football history by claiming the treble Treble.

Can Dundee United pull off mission impossible and snatch the Championship title from under the Staggies noses?

MG: Its too late. Ross County might have stumbled at the weekend but they have still got enough in the tank to get over the finishing line. United will need another crack at the play-offs but this year can be third time lucky.

CS: Dundee United missed their big chance to ramp up the pressure when they lost at home to QOS a couple of weeks ago. County will get over the line.

EM: Nah. Ross County were up against a Partick Thistle side battling for their lives on Saturday so I wouldn’t read too much into them dropping two points. They’ll finish the job but I fancy United to come up through the play-offs.

TH: It’s the Highlanders to lose but it would take a Devon Loch like collapse for Ross County to blow it now and let Dundee United in the back door. The Staggies need four points from their last three games - they can do that - can’t they?

Alloa, Morton, QOS, Falkirk or Partick - which of these sides is automatically heading for the third tier of Scottish football?

MG: It’s Russian Roulette down there and it could be any one of them who takes the bullet. Alloa are on a roll and can survive along. Queen of the South have hit the skids at the wrong time along with Morton and they could be the ones who end up tumbling out the division.

CS: Morton are suffering from a serious lack of momentum. Partick have a game in hand, Alloa are on a roll and you can see QOS and Falkirk grabbing a big result.

EM: Falkirk’s huge win over local rivals Dunfermline changed the picture again in a fascinating drop zone battle. Momentum is a huge factor and the one team in that mix without it is Queen of the South, also missing their star striker Stephen Dobbie.

TH: You have to take your hat off to Jim Goodwin for steering the Wasps up the table temporarily. Queen’s are on a wretched run of form and Falkirk and Partick are desperately trying to haul themselves out of the mess they have created. It could well be between the Doonhamers and Morton to see who automatically falls through the trap door.

Was Queen of Hearts Ann Budge right to shut part of the Wheatfield stand even though the temporary closure will affect some 200 Jambos season ticket holders?

(SNS Group)

MG: She was spot on. Never mind the logistics, it was a strong message that Budge will not be scared to make tough decisions if the halfwits don’t get their act together.

CS: Yes she was because this needs strong action and, if those 200 innocent fans are rightly annoyed, they are more likely to speak up the next time some clown does something stupid in their area.

Hearts star John Souttar salutes Ann Budge and pledges to win Scottish Cup for club saviour

EM: Budge is absolutely spot on. We’ve been calling for clubs to take a stand and the two ladies in charge of the Edinburgh clubs have shown more balls than the rest of them to face the thug issue head on.

TH: Bang on. The Jambos season ticket holders will totally understand why she is doing it. If it helps weed out the unsavoury elements of the capital clubs support - of which there are enough to cause concern and action like this - then she has to be applauded.
