Will AJ Lee Be Added to WWE 2K25?

After a 10-year hiatus from the wrestling business, AJ Lee made her long-awaited and demanded return to WWE on SmackDown this past Friday. While not entirely shocking — Lee’s return had been alluded to as early as Clash at Paris the week prior — it still felt like a seismic moment. With Becky Lynch becoming entangled with CM Punk and Seth Rollins’ feud, it seemed inevitable that Lee, Punk’s real-life wife, would return to confront the heel power couple.

As expected, Lee’s WWE return sent shockwaves through the pro wrestling world. Within minutes of SmackDown going off the air on Friday, WWE had released Lee’s first t-shirt, which rapidly became WWE’s top seller over the weekend. But now, some fans are wondering whether or not Lee will be released as a playable character in WWE 2K25.

Here’s what we know right now.

Will AJ Lee Be Added To WWE 2K25?

For the sake of transparency, at the time of writing this article, 2K hasn’t announced any plans to add AJ Lee to WWE 2K25‘s roster. However, we can take an educated guess as to whether or not the former 3-time WWE Divas Champion might find her way into the game.

In the past, WWE has been pretty inconsistent when it comes to adding new wrestlers to the roster. For example, neither Giulia nor Stephanie Vaquer was added to WWE 2K24 last year, despite being highly-publicized signings that made their WWE debuts in the middle of the game’s life cycle. In fact, both Giulia and Vaquer weren’t even included when WWE 2K25 was originally released, instead being featured as marquee parts of the New Wave DLC pack. CM Punk — who also had a shocking WWE return in November of 2023 — wasn’t part of the base 2K24 roster when it was released either, and was also used as DLC.

That said, 2K has been expeditious when it comes to including certain new cast members, or different versions of them. Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin (The Motor City Machine Guns) were included in a DLC pack for WWE 2K25, only months after their WWE debuts in January. Penta also got similar treatment, being the headliner in the Fearless DLC pack.

So, is it possible that AJ Lee will be included in WWE 2K25 at some point? As wrestling fans can attest, never say never. But, personally, I wouldn’t expect her to be added to the game. At this point in the year, it’s probably all hands on deck when it comes to the development of WWE 2K26, which should be out during Q1 of 2026.

Judging by how high-profile signings have been treated in the past, I’d expect AJ Lee to be in WWE 2K26 as DLC (at launch or post-launch), as doing so could drive sales and further encourage WWE 2K players to buy the latest entry.

Community Creations Are Filling The Void For Now

Even if AJ Lee isn’t scheduled to be officially included in WWE 2K25, many creators have already begun adding their versions of AJ Lee to the game via Community Creations. Reputable WWE 2K creator KOMaster2K has already added their version of AJ Lee, which honestly looks great. WhatsTheStatus (AJWTS25) has also released a similarly great version of Lee.
