Wilfried Zaha's brother makes huge Arsenal admission over 'dream' £40m summer move

Arsenal have been provided a major boos in their hopes of landing Crystal Palace midfielder Wilfried Zaha during the transfer window, with his brother revealing that it's the player's 'dream' to play for the Gunners.

Reports on Monday claimed that Arsenal had made their first move for the Ivory Coast international by submitting a bid of £40m for the Palace man (via Sky Sports ), however, it is thought that Zaha's club will be looking for a fee more in the region of £80m should they decide to sell.

While Palace won't want to sell, their hand may be forced by the player who seems to have his heart set on a summer move to the Emirates Stadium.

Speaking to Sky Sports News ,  following the reports of the Arsenal bid, Zaha's brother Judicael revealed exactly what the player wants to happen during this transfer window.

"Wilfried will always hold Crystal Palace and their fans in the highest regard and all the support they've given means the world to him," he said. "It’s my brother’s dream though, to play for Arsenal."

Zaha scored 10 goals and provided 10 assists in the Premier League for Crystal Palace last season, helping the club to a 12th place Premier League finish, and his brother hopes that the club will respect the 26-year-old's wishes and not block a 'dream' move.

"Given all Wilfried has given to Palace to help them remain a Premier League club," he added.  "I hope Palace will be able to see their way to agreeing a deal with Arsenal that allows Wilfried to realise his dream of playing European Football for the club he’s supported since childhood"

The comments will serve as a boost to Arsenal's hopes of signing Zaha during the window, with Unai Emery hoping to be able to add the midfielder to his squad for the opening day of the 2019/20 season.
