Wilfried Zaha Fantasy Premier League update has got Arsenal and Crystal Palace fans talking

It is that time of year when fantasy football managers can start working out who will be in their side for next season, following the launch of the Fantasy Premier League for the 2019/20 season.

The game, in which fans can pick a squad of 15 players from the Premier League teams using a £100m budget, has officially been launched today (Thursday), with supporters up and down the country now starting to work out the best options for their teams.

And one move in particular that has got fans talking, after Crystal Palace ace Wilfried Zaha was listed as a midfielder and priced at £7.0m, having been included as a forward on the game last season.

Zaha is among the most popular players in the game, and last season amassed 143 points in the game, scoring ten goals, while registering 11 assists.

However, as he was listed as a forward he missed out on ten extra points for his goals and 11 points for clean sheets, which are awarded to midfielders on the game, but not to strikers.

And although Zaha has predominantly been played in a more advanced role in recent times at Palace , he has now once again been listed as a midfielder on the game, having been a midfielder in previous seasons, prior to a switch in the game ahead of the 2018/19 season.

But now, with the change this season, it seems that plenty of fans are already considering the Arsenal transfer target as an option for their team, judging by the reaction to the launch of the game on social media.

Here's what some Arsenal and Palace fans, together with other fantasy football managers, have been saying on social media today (Thursday).

Zaha is not the only Palace player to have changed positions in the game this season though, with Jeffrey Schlupp also now listed as a midfielder, having been a defender on the game last season.

He is priced at £5.5m in the game for the 2019/20 season.
