Wilfried Zaha Crystal Palace exit hint and other Everton transfer rumours rated

Everton continue to be linked with a host of players, as Carlo Ancelotti takes a view on where to strengthen his squad during the transfer window.

As fresh rumours about the potential new Goodison arrivals continue to surface, we have taken a look at the latest pieces of gossip to see what they could mean for the Blues.

Who?

Wilfried Zaha

Where?

Speaking to talkSPORT earlier today, Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson offered an update on Zaha's future, admitting he could still leave the club before the transfer window closes next month.

Everton failed in a bid to sign the Ivory Coast international last summer, and have continued to be linked with a move in recent months.

What?

Hodgson told the broadcaster: “He is under contract, he is not on the transfer list and we don’t want to sell him.

“But of course I would be naive to say a situation where the club doesn’t want to sell doesn’t mean you don’t get offers which are going to cause you some problems.

“At the moment, that hasn’t happened so I will continue to enjoy having him available.

“I have no idea (if he'll leave). I look forward to going into work with him every day.

“I’m a realist and I realise that if a club comes in and pays what the club thinks he is worth and he desperately wants to go, it will be hard for us to keep him. But until that day comes, there is no point in me speculating.

“I can even hope that because Wilf is a Palace man through and through that he will see a team that could be getting better and looking to go forward and maybe he will accept that staying here isn’t quite that bad.”

There is no doubt that Zaha is a top player, as his performance against Manchester United at the weekend showed.

However, given the fee Palace are likely to demand this summer, it is hard to see the Blues forking out such a huge sum, especially with Carlo Ancelotti already having a number of attacking options at his disposal.

Who?

Leon Bailey

Where?

Prince Rupert's Tower speculate that Everton could be free to sign the winger should they decide to make a bid this summer, because Tottenham Hotspur have re-signed Gareth Bale.

Both sides had been tipped to move for the Bayer Leverkusen star, but Spurs are unlikely to follow through on their interest after completing a move for Bale.

What?

There is no doubting that Bailey is a top player, and would be a welcome addition to Everton's squad.

However, and as with Zaha, the fee Leverkusen are likely to demand could well put the Blues off this summer.

But he is definitely the type of signing that would get Evertonians excited, especially after their side’s fine start to the new season.

Who?

Ademola Lookman

Where?

Having found his game time limited at RB Leipzig, Kicker, cited by the Mirror, claims Fulham are interested in signing the former Everton winger on loan.

What?

Lookman has struggled for regular playing time after his €18million move to the Red Bull Arena from Everton in 2019.

The 22-year-old winger has watched RB Leipzig's first two games of the season from the bench and is in desperate need of a return to first-team football.

A return to England could well provide the youngster with the perfect chance to rediscover his impressive form shown for the German side a couple of years ago.
