Wilfried Zaha has reacted on social media to an Instagram video uploaded on Saturday night which showed him pointing to an Arsenal sign.
Zaha has made no secret of his desire to join Arsenal and set tongues wagging after being filmed by a supporter seemingly making his transfer intentions clear.
The footage was uploaded on Instagram, and Zaha can be seen in what appears to be a nightclub, pointing to a neon sign on the wall which says: 'Zaha to Arsenal.'
The video also had the caption: "So me and @wilfriedzaha have a message for you guys @arsenal.”
And reacting to the video on Sunday night, Zaha wrote on Instagram: “I’m just enjoying my time off and can’t control everything everyone does.”
While Anthony Billing, the person who uploaded the initial video onto the social media site, also wrote: “I can confirm that @wilfriedzaha had no partake in the banter last night. It was just a joke I decided to go along with.”
The Crystal Palace winger was heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium last summer, with then-Gunners boss Unai Emery keen on signing the Ivory Coast international.
And speaking after Palace's final game of the season against Tottenham, Eagles boss Roy Hodgson admitted his star player was set on a move away from Selhurst Park.
Hodgson said: “Wilf has made it clear ever since I came to the club, really, that he would like to move on and find some pastures new.
"But of course he is a very valuable player and the club realises his value.
“Everything will depend on what sort of offers the club receives for him. Or maybe we satisfy his wishes and allow him to go after giving good service to the club for a period of time.
"Quite frankly I have no answer… it will be a matter of seeing what transpires.”
On being linked with Arsenal, Zaha told Rio Ferdinand's Locker Room show on YouTube in June: "It was nice. Supporting them and having them wanting you at the same time, leaves you thinking: 'this is amazing.'
"But things never worked out so you just have to move on as quick as possible. I was thinking this may happen. But my whole family was watching and it just didn't work out.”
Since Hodgson's admission after his side's final game of the season, Zaha has been linked with the Gunners, Everton, Bayern Munich and Tottenham.
