Wilfried Zaha blasts claims he will join Paul Pogba's agent over failed transfer to Arsenal

Wilfried Zaha has denied claims that he is set to axe his current representatives over his failed move to Arsenal in the summer.

According to The Mail, the Crystal Palace winger was unhappy with agent Will Salthouse's relationship with Palace chairman Steve Parish and blames him for failing to facilitate a transfer out of Selhurst Park in the summer.

The report claimed Zaha told Salthouse and agency USM in writing that he wished to terminate their agreement, with super agent Mino Raiola interested in snapping up the Ivory Coast international as a client.

But in a tweet posted on Tuesday, Zaha appeared to deny the claims. He wrote: 'Do you lot sit and literally wonder what I’m up too then just make up stuff about me', with a laughing face emoji.

Zaha was thought to be a key target for Arsenal and Everton in the summer, and handed in a transfer request in a bid to force his way out of Palace.

The 26-year-old said back in April: "For me to be better, to achieve what I know I am capable of, I have to aim to play at the very highest level, to win trophies.

“I’m blessed to have come this far in my playing career. But I feel like there is so much more I have to offer.

“I have to experience the Champions League. I just need the opportunity.”

But Arsenal could not agree a fee with Roy Hodgson's side and ended up signing Nicolas Pepe from Lille, while Everton moved for Alex Iwobi on deadline day.
