Wilfried Zaha aims dig at Matteo Guendouzi after Arsenal star's challenge in draw with Palace

Wilfried Zaha was once again the centre of attention as Crystal Palace faced Arsenal in the Premier League this afternoon (Sunday).

The Ivory Coast international was always likely to be in the spotlight for the game, after the transfer saga that dominated the summer transfer window, with Arsenal being heavily linked with the Palace star.

The Gunners had a £40million bid turned down by Palace for the 26-year-old, who ended up staying at Palace despite submitting a transfer request towards the end of the summer window.

This afternoon, Zaha faced Arsenal for the first time since the summer, with the Palace ace once again heavily involved in the action, as he won a penalty to help the Eagles get back into the game, having trailed 2-0 to early goals from Sokratis and David Luiz.

But the penalty was not without controversy, after Zaha was initially booked by referee Martin Atkinson for what he perceived as a dive, only for the decision to be overturned by VAR, with Luka Milivojevic scoring from the spot to halve the deficit.

And there was a flashpoint late on as Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi fouled Zaha, sparking an angry reaction from his Palace team-mates.

The challenge earned Guendouzi a yellow card, and Zaha has since responded with a message for the Frenchman on social media.

Posting a photo of the challenge, Zaha said: "NFL's at Wembley..."
