Wilfried Gnonto's gesture to Marcus Rashford immediately after scoring against Manchester United

Leeds United winger Wilfried Gnonto sent an immediate gesture towards Manchester United star Marcus Rashford straight after putting the Whites 1-0 up at Old Trafford after just 56 seconds.

The 19-year-old netted his second goal of the season in the Premier League after a brilliant one-two with Patrick Bamford set him up outside of the box before he let fly past David de Gea and into the bottom-left corner.

He then ran straight towards a packed corner full of Man United fans and pulled Rashford's signature celebration of pointing his index finger to his head, right in front of the star himself.

It's not the first time that the celebration has been copied by other players, with Wolves ace Ruben Neves claiming that he was the one who created it first after doing it against Crystal Palace last weekend.

It's believed that the celebration is used by Rashford to indicate him overcoming mental health struggles last season following his return to fantastic form under Erik ten Hag in recent months.

"It’s a complete different energy around the club and the training ground. That puts me in a better headspace and I just feel really motivated now. That’s the area I was struggling in.

"I was struggling at times with more mental things. It wasn’t really my own performance but other things off the pitch. That’s the biggest difference from last season. Too often last season, I wasn’t in the right headspace for games. I wasn’t surprised by some of the stuff that was happening."
