When he scored a hit with 'Wearing My Rolex' last May, Wiley finally took the UK's most bloody-minded genre - grime - into the charts. But at what cost? Purists are up in arms at the producer/MC's pop rebirth. On this avowedly commercial record, Mark Ronson produces 'Cash in My Pocket' and Hot Chip's collaboration 'Step By Step' recalls Basement Jaxx. What strong tracks there are - '... Rolex', the title track, the funky disco of 'Turn it Up', the operatic 'I Am the Sea' - are let down by some unsatisfying dead-ends. What's more, Wiley has allegedly disowned the record online.
