Wiley says Stormzy is 'worse than Ed Sheeran' on new diss track as feud escalates

Wiley has released a new diss track about Stormzy, describing the rapper as “worse than Ed [Sheeran]” and escalating their feud.

The pair exchanged insults on Twitter last week, with Wiley claiming the only reason Jay-Z wanted to work with Stormzy was because Sheeran was involved.

Stormzy responded by branding Wiley a “pr**k” and claiming that Wiley’s public anger was at odds with private messages he had sent.

Now, Wiley’s new diss track sees him attacking Stormzy for “Wiley Flow” – a homage to the grime MC which appears on his latest album Heavy is the Head.

On “Eediyat Skengman”, Wiley raps: “It’s not homage, looking like a sly one, I know when a brudda and a label join together and they try one / They all copy me, they want some of my one / It don’t work though ’cause this my ting / And I’m the heavyweight champ of the grime ting.”

Another verse includes the lyrics: “You never cared about grime, you just used it / Worse than Ed with your watered down music.”

Stormzy is yet to respond to the diss track, but in a recent interview he likened Wiley to a “drunk uncle” who should “get back to bed”.

Wiley, hailed by many as the “godfather of grime”, has taken aim at a number of fellow rappers over the years, including AJ Tracey who he recently mocked for his hit “Ladbroke Grove”, which is a nod to old-school garage music.
