Wiley bizarrely claims coronavirus is method of 'depopulation' introduced in China

Wiley has given his input on the coronavirus pandemic that continues to sweep the globe.

The Grime rapper, 41, strongly believes the deadly bug is a method of “depopulation” introduced in China.

The MC told Q magazine: “I feel like someone high up.. this is a control method. Depopulation is a real thing. However it occurs, I don’t know how to explain that part because different people use different methods.

"But I read it on the net. It said in China you were only allowed one baby but people kept having ten. Can you imagine in England, if I got into power and I told you, ‘Sorry mate, you can only have one kid’."

He continued: "So that don’t feel all right already. But if somebody, the governor or the man who runs China, if it’s overpopulated, he might feel that way.

"There’s a deeper root. I wanna know who is behind it. I’m not saying corona is not real, what I’m saying is a virus, to me, seems like a business.”

It comes as the UK's Covid-19 hospital death toll has increased to 24,780 after 436 more fatalities were reported in 24 hours - but the true total is far higher.

Most recent figures show that England reported 366 new deaths, Scotland had 44 and Wales recorded 26 - taking its toll past 1,000 - as the UK entered the seventh week of its lockdown.

The totals do not include deaths in the community such as in care homes.

The daily number of deaths is up from 229 on Monday and 358 on Sunday, but a sharp increase was expected because many weekend deaths are not reported until Tuesday at the earliest.

New data has suggested the UK has the highest death toll in Europe.

This makes the UK the second highest in the world behind the US, and it could now be just hundreds shy of 40,000.
