A collection of 25 stunning wildlife images have been released in the running for the Wildlife Photographer of the Year People’s Choice Award.
Photographs include elephants huddling their young in South Africa, a baby anteater hitching a ride on a female’s back in Brazil and an orangutan trying to keep her excitable baby in its nest in Indonesia.
Others show an arctic fox’s wet breath in the freezing air of Svalbard and golden pheasants playing on a tree trunk in China.
Art lovers can vote for their favourite image online and the winner will be announced in February.
Visitors can also marvel at the masterpieces upclose at the Natural History Museum in London.
French biologist Laurent Ballesta was selected as the winner of this year’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year following the submission of his “enigmatic image” Creation.
