Wildlife on your doorstep in July - share your pictures

In the city as well as the countryside, humans around the world live within touching distance of all sorts of wildlife. Birds, insects and animals colonise gardens and parks, and countryside animals find themselves making happy homes in city spaces.

So, rural or urban, whether it's deer in the sun near London, flying foxes in the Sydney rain or turtles in New York's waterways, we want to see what shares your outdoor spaces. In the first of a monthly series giving a snapshot of animals around the world, share your pictures, videos and stories of close encounters with the wildlife in your area.
