Wildest Masked Singer theories as Panda, Mushroom and Robobunny battle it out at final

The Masked Singer final is finally upon us - and one celebrity will be crowned the winner tonight.

Over the last few weeks, stars have took to the stage in a bid to get the judges and viewers to guess who they are.

Aled Jones was unmasked as Traffic Cone, Michelle Williams as Rockhopper, Firework was actress Jaime Winstone, while Doughnuts was in fact football legend Michael Owen.

Poodle was Keane frontman Tom Chaplin, and Bagpipes was Pat Cash.

Tonight's final will see Mushroom, Panda and Robobunny battle it out in a bid to become this year's champ.

Let's take a look back at the wildest theories fans came up with throughout the competition.

Amanda Holden rumoured to be Panda as 'costume' is seen in car

Amanda sparked speculation she is the celebrity beneath the Panda costume.

The 50-year-old actress and TV judge proved she has an impressive pair of pipes on herself when she released her debut album, titled Songs From My Heart, in 2020 – which reached number 4 in the UK charts.

No stranger to talent shows thanks to her role as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent, Amanda has implicated herself as Panda after fans noticed she had a huge animal costume in the back of her car.

Fans think Panda is Amanda Holden (PA)

Amanda was spotted pottering around central London on Monday when she opened up the boot of her car – where a giant plush panda head could be seen poking out the back of a cardboard box.

Clues surrounding the Panda character have included the fact that they have "treaded the boards" in different lives far from what you could imagine – which could fit Amanda’s varied background as a Blind Date contestant turned TV actress turned TV judge turned radio host turned album chart singer.

Charlotte Church thought to be Mushroom after ITV drops huge clue

It's thought Charlotte Church is Mushroom after ITV reshuffled an episode of Kate Garraway's Life Stories.

Charlotte is rumoured to be one of its guests and fans think she is taking part in the competition.

Good Morning Britain presenter Kate, 54, had been due to interview Charlotte on Thursday's show.

However, the channel announced that the episodes will be switched around "due to an ongoing production delay".

Mushroom is rumoured to be Charlotte Church (ITV)

Many fans have become convinced that Mushroom is the Welsh singer after cracking it from a phone-in number clue. At the end of Mushroom's VT, it showed the numbers '345997'.

Some clever viewers managed to decipher what that numbers equal in letters, and it appears to be a Welsh word, 'eglwys' that when translated into English reads 'church'.

Many fans took to Twitter to share their theories.

One viewer tweeted: "I love Mushroom - fantastic singer, brilliant at accents and SUCH a fun-gi! Has to be Charlotte Church now that the clues back her up!"

A second fan said: "White Ws on the bushes in Mushroom's VT... Am sure Charlotte Church sang at the White House."

Another fan theory linked the number '345997' to the star, explaining: "Watching #TheMaskedSingerUK and I think I worked out who #Mushroom is through those numbers - 345997. On a phone keypad, e g l w y s - Cymraeg am 'Church'. It HAS to be @charlottechurch! Even Mo thinks so!! or maybe I’m overthinking this…"

Robobunny's identity speculated to be Top Gear star and singer

Robobunny's identity is yet to be confirmed.

Many were convinced the secret celebrity is from Top Gear - with Paddy McGuinness, Richard Hammond and Jeremy Clarkson being mentioned.

Robobunny left a clue, telling viewers: "I might be made of metal but that doesn't stop me making a splash."

One person wrote on Twitter : "I think Robobunny is Richard Hammond."

A second added: " #MaskedSingerUK Vernon Kay presented Splash right??? Cars & Splash – Richard Hammond?"

Many viewers however have think it's a professional singer though.

Amongst the names mentioned on social media are Blue member Lee Ryan, 38, and Steps ' Ian 'H' Watkins, 45 - amid blue lighting in a clip and references to dance steps.

A number of fans however are convinced that it's actually Westlife member Mark Feehily, 41, behind the costume. The theory is primarily led by Robobunny's singing voice, which has been compared to the Irish pop star's vocals.

Some viewers have suggested that the clues do fit though, including that the singer-songwriter has lived on a ranch.

Several clues were connected to him after Love Island alum Amy Hart tweeted over the weekend: "He sounds like Mark from Westlife but do any of the clues match?"

In response, one viewer said that the comment about making a splash could be a hint to the fact Mark once toured with Wet Wet Wet and that a visual of a peroxide can in a clue may relate to him having dyed his hair blonde earlier in his career.

They also suggested that the Ctrl Alt Delete clue could be a nod Westlife's iconic key changes - using the keyboard buttons as a way to reference their reputation.

The builder's hat was linked to Can We Fix It? - the theme song from Bob the Builder - which beat Westlife's single What Makes a Man to be Christmas Number 1 in 2000.

The police badge, cowboy boots, headdress and a builder's hat have also been linked to Go West by the Village People - with some fans wondering if it's pointing to Westlife's name.

And it's also been suggested that there are 14 carrots on display in the costume, with the band understood to have had 14 Number 1 singles over the course of their career.
