Wilco and Sleater-Kinney hitting the road for an outdoor venue tour this summer

Wilco and Sleater-Kinney will be teaming up for a 16-stop summer tour of outdoor venues, the "It's Time" tour.

The sonic gambol begins Aug. 6 in Spokane, Wash., and ends Aug. 29 in Chicago, Wilco's home town and a city that has always treated Sleater-Kinney well, both pre and post.

Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Friday for the hoi polloi, but insiders can get their ducats lined up early via the Wilcoworld pre-sale beginning 10 a.m. Wednesday.
