Wilby scorns the bloggers' Prescott claims

The New Statesman's media columnist, Peter Wilby, contests the claim that bloggers were largely responsible for driving the story about the deputy prime minister, John Prescott, and his relationship with US billionaire Philip Anschutz. They may have stirred it up a bit, he argues, but they did not set the agenda and he contends that the key players were journalists on The Guardian and The Times. Heads down!
