Wigan Warriors without Sam Powell for key derby clash with St Helens

Wigan Warriors will be without Sam Powell for the derby after he was left out of Adrian Lam's 21-man squad for Friday's showdown.

Powell failed an HIA during the club's defeat to Hull KR last week and has not been cleared to feature in the contest this Friday.

As a result, Adrian Lam now has a decision to make, having played Joe Shorrocks in the role last week. He does, however, have Salford-bound hooker Amir Bourouh who he could call upon in the squad.

There are two changes in total, with Ollie Partington and Sam Halsall being named in the squad in place of Powell and Umyla Hanley. Partington returns after serving a two-match ban for punching.

Brad Singleton remains suspended as he serves the final game of a three-match ban.

Warriors: Hardaker, Gildart, Marshall, Field, Bullock, Isa, Farrell, Bateman, Partington, Smithies, Clubb, Byrne, Smith, Havard, Bibby, Clark, Shorrocks, Pearce-Paul, Halsall, Hastings, Bourouh.
