Wigan Warriors teams news as Bevan French remains absent for Leeds Rhinos clash

Bevan French will not feature in Wigan Warriors' Super League clash with Leeds Rhinos.

The electrifying fullback was brought into the 21-man squad and appeared likely to feature in the opening game of round three, but has not been included in Adrian Lam's matchday squad.

It means Zak Hardaker continues in his favoured position and the recalled Liam Farrell returning to centre in one of two changes from last week's victory over York City Knights in the Challenge Cup.

Captain Tommy Leuluai also features after being rested last week and goes straight into the starting line-up in the halves.

Meanwhile, Tony Clubb has retained his place and will start tonight against the Rhinos. The veteran prop made his first appearance of the season last week in the cup and will feature at Headingley tonight.

Farrell and Leuluai replace Sam Halsall and the suspended Liam Byrne, who is serving a one-match ban for a crusher tackle in last week's victory.

Leuluai comes straight into the starting line-up, which sees Harry Smith drop to the bench. Clubb starts ahead of Joe Bullock, who will deputise from the bench.

Warriors: Hardaker, Bibby, Isa, Farrell, Hanley, Hastings, Leuluai, Singleton, Powell, Clubb, Bateman, Smithies, Partington. Subs: Bullock, Havard, Shorrocks, Smith.
