Wigan Warriors player ratings as too many fail to make an impact against Leeds Rhinos

Wigan Warriors failed to register a point against Leeds Rhinos as they lost 14-0.

Here's the player ratings:

Jai Field: Couldn’t make an impact on the game. He’s missed a majority of the season and he wasn’t at his best against Leeds. 4

Jake Bibby: Always showed for the ball. Thought he’d scored a try in the final 10 minutes of the game but replays showed he’d been held up by Ash Handley. 5

Zak Hardaker: Wrapped up by his former side, largely. Cut a frustrated figure at times. 5

Oliver Gildart: Struggled to get involved in the game. Showed a glimpse of his running game just before the break, but things just didn’t go his way. 4

Liam Marshall: Handled everything Leeds threw at him and he tried his hardest with the ball in hand but found no joy. 5

Jackson Hastings: Provided the odd bright spark in the first half with his running game. Tried hard but couldn’t really find the opening he craved. 6

Harry Smith: Question marks over his decision making in attacking areas. Simply has to pose more questions. 4

Brad Singleton: Returning from a three-game ban he got stuck in early with some strong running. Found joy through the middle in the second half, too. 6

Joe Shorrocks: Tried hard in the hooker role but never quite looked natural in there, got through heaps of defensive work. 6

Oli Partington: Gave it all his through the middle, as always. 6

Liam Farrell: The back-rower got involved defensively but he couldn’t find a gap with his running game. 6

John Bateman: Struggled to make an impact in the game at second-row or through the middle. 5

Morgan Smithies: Pulled off a big hit in the first half and worked well defensively during his stints on the field. 5

Liam Byrne: His best work came defensively through the middle. 5

Ethan Havard: Got stuck in but looked ragged on occasions. 5

Kai Pearce-Paul: Steady away in defence didn’t see much of the ball but shored up the right edge. 6

Amir Bourouh: Couldn’t provide the injection of energy Wigan needed around the ruck. 5
