Wigan Warriors player ratings as Liam Farrell, Zak Hardaker and Jake Bibby stand out

Zak Hardaker: Looks at home back in the full-back spot and showed his class on more than one occasion with and without the ball in hand. Took his try very well. 8

Jake Bibby: The outside back found a lot of joy in the second half and carried on his fine try-scoring form with three fine finishes in the corner. 8

Willie Isa: So strong defensively and he’s another that looks at home out of position. Set up two Bibby tries, too, with some quick hands. 7

Liam Farrell: Out of position, but the England international just oozes class. He was the man that carved out the game swinging moment, bursting through the line before finding Hardaker . 8

Umyla Hanley: Unlucky not to get on the scoreboard in the second half but he did well defensively and looked more settled on the wing. 6

Jackson Hastings: Back in the side after missing round one and he was steady away. Kept himself busy and his presence gave Wigan confidence in attacking areas. 7

Tommy Leuluai: The half-back was a calming presence and put in a big shift. 6

Joe Bullock: The prop put in a big effort through the middle of the park showing nous defensively and with the ball in hand. 7

Sam Powell: He was everywhere once again as he underlines why he’s becoming one of the best English hookers around. 8

Brad Singleton: Another solid showing through the middle, putting his body on the line. 7

Morgan Smithies: Raw at times but his aggression and passion went a long way. 7

John Bateman : Wigan’s star signing would have hoped to have more to stop David Fifita scoring in the first half, but he made up for it with a try of his own and some fine defensive play. 7

Oliver Partington : A huge first-half for the loose-forward, making metres and tackles aplenty. Got a try for his efforts, too. 7

Bench

Ethan Havard: A top performance from the youngster, stepping off the bench and making his presence known either side of the break. 7

Harry Smith : The youngster entered the fray in the second half and looked the part. 6

Liam Byrne: A big defensive effort from the youngster. 7

Joe Shorrocks: Put himself about alongside Wigan’s other youngsters off the bench. 6
