Wigan Warriors player ratings as Jackson Hastings stars with impressive support cast

Zak Hardaker - 7: Did a superb job organising the line defence while it was under pressure. Safe under the high ball. Should have scored at the end.

Jake Bibby - 6: Quiet night and will be disappointed not to have finished a chance he was supplied in the first-half.

Willie Isa - 8: Given the captaincy and put in an outstanding performance, scoring the first try and carrying the ball out of tough areas. He defended Samiosoni Langi outstandingly.

Oliver Gildart - 7: His best performance of the year, looked like a genuine threat every time he got the ball.

Sam Halsall - 7: Had a spring in his step carrying the ball and did well under the high ball while attacking and defending.

Jackson Hastings - 9: Thrilling performance, creating chances, kicking well, nailing a 40/20 and assisting the first try. A constant threat. Kicking game awesome.

Harry Smith - 6: Had his moments, including a splendid 40/20.

Joe Bullock - 7: Outstanding first stint where he punched holes in the Catalans defence on several occasions.

Joe Shorrocks - 6: Was made to do a lot of work defensively but did it well. Appeared to be the cause of frustration with his team-mates a few times for spreading the ball the wrong way.

Tony Clubb - 6: Held his own and did his duties with the minimum of fuss.

Kai Pearce-Paul - 7: Dangerous with the ball, producing a number of offloads for his team. Defended well.

James McDonnell - 7: A great performance after being recalled. Always ran lines to provide options though he wasn't picked out too often. But when he was, he scored THAT beauty. Great night for him.

Ollie Partington - 8: Superb opening stint in which he played way over 40 minutes. Has become a leader and a real workhorse. His shot on Gil Dudson during the first-half a standout moment.

Liam Byrne - 6: Started brightly with some strong carries but a few errors crept in.

Brad O'Neill - 6: A HIA denied him a proper chance to impress.

Ethan Havard - 6: Another who had a steady evening but by no means disappointed.

Mitch Clark - 7: Only did a short stint but was impactful, forcing a knock-on and coming up with a few tough carries.
