Wigan Warriors player ratings as Jackson Hastings shines again

Wigan Warriors made it six wins from six as they came through a tight game to end Hull FC's unbeaten start.

Here are tonight's player ratings.

Zak Hardaker - 6

His quietest performance of the season, though he was far from bad.

Made a clean break, but it resulted in nothing. Solid defensively, as ever.

Jake Bibby - 7

Scored a crucial try that he finished expertly while he did his usual work in the backfield.

Willie Isa - 7

Doing a grand job out of position, produced a lovely, instinctive pass for Bibby's score.

Liam Farrell - 7

Like Isa, doing great out of position, came up with some really good reads defensively. Scored.

Bevan French - 6

Out-jumped for Mahe Fonua's try and was quiet in possession. In a game of territory, this probably wasn't the night for him as a winger.

Harry Smith - 7

Did a wonderful job of steering the Wigan ship alongside Hastings. Proving every week that he's a talent.

Jackson Hastings - 8

The star man again. Comes up with big plays when needed but does all the little things right too.

Brad Singleton - 7

Probably his best performance of the season. The game suited him in its attritional style. Thrived in the surroundings.

Sam Powell - 7

Enormous minutes again. It meant he wasn't as prominent as he can be but his workload earns him the 7 mark.

Tony Clubb - 5

Nothing to do with the allegation made against him, but he only played 17 minutes. Hard to justify a higher mark.

Morgan Smithies - 7

Very, very good again. Nearly an eight. Looks really at home in the back-row, running great lines and hitting hard.

John Bateman - 6

Still not quite at his best. He was OK here, but quiet by his own high standards.

Ollie Partington - 7

Evolving. Once a nuisance and a bit of a pain. He still is, but he's really maturing and his workload has gone up big time.

Joe Bullock - 6

Was on a fair while but wasn't particularly noticeable, positively or negatively.

Liam Byrne - 7

Another of this young crop getting better and better. His physicality is improving too.

Ethan Havard - 6

Not as active or prominent as he has been but was steady in.

Jake Shorrocks - 7

Threw a fantastic pass for the Bibby try. Continuing to show he's more than just grunt but silky with the ball in hand.
