Wigan Warriors player ratings after Catalans Dragons humiliation

Wigan Warriors were annihilated by Catalans Dragons as their unbeaten start came to an end.

Here's how the players fared on a nightmare night in Perpignan.

Zak Hardaker - 4

Had no ball to show his offensive qualities. Defensively was sound but couldn't do anything to influence the game. Caught out for Drinkwater's first try but was a culmination of errors before that. Then sent off for headbutting, compounding Wigan's issues in the backline and damaging his England prospects.

Dom Manfredi - 5

Went up against a young Frenchman but didn't win the duals. Made one break.

Jake Bibby - 5

Arguably could have done better for the third try but overcame a fair bit of traffic.

Liam Farrell - 6

Never has a bad game and didn't let his team down even on this difficult night.

Umyla Hanley - 5

Needless penalty, dropped a ball second half. Didn't have any impact.

Jackson Hastings - 5

Hard to rate a halfback when they never get any ball, but genuinely, you wouldn't have known he was playing as a result.

Tommy Leuluai - 5

Same as Hastings. Chopped a few people on his return but missed a few tackles too.

Brad Singleton - 6

Probably Wigan's best pack men. Tried to get them on the front foot. Tried too hard later on and gave away some penalties.

Sam Powell - 5

Ineffective and came up with a big error when Wigan were already up against it in the first half.

Ethan Havard - 4

His woeful tackle attempt on McIlorum set the tone for the evening.

John Bateman - 4

Just not playing well. Effort is there, he's perhaps trying too hard at times. Missed a one-on-one tackle on his own line that saw Mourgue score in the second half and too passive for Drinkwater's second. Gave a penalty away in possession late on.

Morgan Smithies - 5

Got through loads of work but, like many others, was guilty of giving penalties away.

Ollie Partington - 5

Part of a dominated pack. Didn't stand out either positively or negatively in this performance.

Joe Bullock - 5

Played longer than he has previously. Couldn't get the pack on top at all.

Liam Byrne - 5

A few mistakes and really struggled to handle the Catalans pack.

Joe Shorrocks - 6

Struggled just as much as the other pack men but gets a point for the try-saver in the first half.

Harry Smith - 5

Came on midway through the second half. They basically defended that entire period. Threw a poor pass tackle one in a good ball set that resulted in a turnover.
