Oliver Partington has picked up a pre-season injury during Wigan Warriors' preparations for the new season.
The forward has picked up an ankle injury that has put him on the sidelines for a short period of time.
However, head coach Matt Peet insists the injury isn't serious and that it won't impact on his ability to start the Super League season as planned.
Partington is expected to return to training shortly and will get an extensive period of time to get up to speed before the season opener at Hull Kingston Rovers on February 11th.
"Oli rolled his ankle," Peet confirmed.
"So he's out at the moment but it shouldn't impact on his ability to start the season with us."
The same applies for Zak Hardaker, who is having a procedure on a slipped disc that troubled him last season.
The England international has insisted he will be fit in a few weeks and Peet confirmed it wasn't a major issue.
"He'll be right for the start of the season," Peet added.
Otherwise, the Warriors are all systems go with players back and active in a full pre-season.
John Bateman and Liam Farrell have returned to the club after getting an extended break due to their involvement in England's Test match with France.
