Wigan striker Callum Lang linked with permanent Motherwell switch

Wigan striker Callum Lang is set to be offered the chance to join Motherwell on a permanent deal, it has been reported.

Speculation regarding the 21-year-old was revealed last month with Stephen Robinson said to be keen on a loan deal for the Englishman.

However, Lanarkshire Live Sport's sister title Record Sport have now claimed a bid has been made to bring Lang to Fir Park permanently with The Latics in administration.

Lang has enjoyed spells on loan throughout the English leagues with Shrewsbury, Morecambe and Oldham.

So far this summer Jake Hastie, Mark O'Hara, Scott Fox, Ricki Lamie, Nathan McGinley and Jordan White have all penned deals with Robinson's Lanarkshire men ahead of their Europa League campaign.
