Wigan player ratings as Warriors fail to spark once again in Leeds Rhinos play-off defeat

Zak Hardaker: Struggled to cope with the physicality of Leeds Rhinos in the first half but kept going and fared better in the second half. Caught every kick but couldn’t impact the game in attack. 6

Jake Bibby: Had to do better in the build-up to Leeds’ try as he was beaten in the air by Richie Myler. 4

Willie Isa: Quick off his line and ran well but cut a frustrated figure at times. 6

Oliver Gildart: Lacked form all season and although he had a couple of strong runs, he was far from his best. 5

Liam Marshall: A workhorse performance. Ran well and handled everything Leeds threw his way. 6

Harry Smith: Struggled to create anything for the Cherry and Whites and his last tackle choice left much to be desired. 4

Jackson Hastings: Tried to get his side going but struggled for that spark on his final outing for Wigan. 6

Brad Singleton: Ran well and looked to relish the tense nature of the contest through the middle. 6

Sam Powell: Back in the side but struggled to inspire his side. Left the field early in the second half. 6

Oliver Partington: Made a couple of big hits but struggled when the going got tough and his discipline let his side down. 5

Liam Farrell: Did his job defensively and ran well but couldn’t find the gap he craved to open the game up. 6

John Bateman: One of Wigan’s best, he’ll be hoping to make more of an impact in his second season back with the club. 6

Morgan Smithies: Really enjoyed the physical challenge of the contest. Got stuck in and tackled everything that moved. 6
