Patients have been advised to only visit A&E in Wigan and Leigh if it is 'absolutely necessary' as pressure on NHS services soars.
Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Trust (WWL NHS) has repeatedly warned people in recent weeks to stay away from urgent care departments if possible.
Services across Greater Manchester have been under increasing stress, with paramedics worried about long ambulance queues.
In a post on Twitter, @WWLNHS warned: "Our Emergency Department is currently very busy.
"It's important that you only attend A&E if it's absolutely necessary.
"If your condition is not a medical emergency, you'll wait longer to be seen.
"There are other options to help you get the right advice for your healthcare."
Last month, nearly half of A&E patients at Greater Manchester's biggest NHS trust waited more than four hours to be seen.
More than 15,600 patients at major Emergency Departments at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust - which includes North Manchester General, MRI, Wythenshawe and Manchester Children’s Hospital - waited longer than the target time to be admitted, transferred or discharged in October.
That equates to 47 per cent of A&E visitors. Meanwhile, 84 patients waited longer than 12 hours to be admitted across all A&E departments.
