Wigan band announced as secret headliners for this weekend's Neighbourhood Festival

A band from Wigan have been announced as secret headliners of the highly-anticipated Neighbourhood Festival taking place in Manchester this weekend. Festival bosses have today revealed The Lathums will perform a special headline set on Saturday (October 1).

The performance, at Manchester Academy, will be the band's first Manchester show since their sold-out headline gig at O2 Victoria Warehouse, after their debut album reached number one in the official UK charts. They will be taking to the stage from 4.15pm until 5.15pm.

Further names have also been added to the line-up including Corella and King No One. The Lathums are also set to join fellow headliners The Snuts, Everything Everything and Sundara Karma.

Since launching in 2016, the anticipated festival, held across venues in Manchester, has become a key highlight on the city's events calendar and has previously featured the likes of BRIT Award winners Sam Fender, Mabel and Holly Humberstone.

As well as the more well-known acts, the festival will stage a host of emerging stars, including Alfie Templeman, Baby Queen, Dylan, The Royston Club, Louis Dunford, Lauran Hibberd and STONE.

Over 100 acts will appear at the festival throughout Saturday, with gig goers able to enjoy the day-long festival with one wristband that allows them entry into all participating venues. This year’s Neighbourhood Festival will return to the Manchester Academy, Albert Hall, Gorilla, O2 Ritz and a number of other venues, including Bunny Jackson’s for the first time.

Final tickets are still available to purchase online. A full list of the artists set to perform and all other information is available on the festival website.
