Wife 'stabs husband to death' after he 'forgot to buy chicken legs'

A woman allegedly stabbed her husband to death with a fruit knife after he forgot to buy some chicken legs for dinner.

The couple got into a row at their flat in Lujiang, east China, when Wu Shouchun returned home without the food on April 13, according to local reports.

His wife, Luo, is then accused of grabbing a blade and killing the father-of-two.

Mr Shouchun's relatives said his wife had become bad tempered and spoiled since they married.

The couple, who have a son and daughter, were also heard arguing every day, according to neighbours.

He Changying, Mr Shouchun's mum, said her son was at a business dinner when his wife requested he bring her some chicken legs, however he forgot to pick them up on his way home.

His mother was in the bathroom at the time of the attack and rushed out when she heard her granddaughter screeching - only to find her son lying in a pool of blood.
