- The US doctor who tested positive for Ebola was too weak to stand by himself by the time he was flown to Germany to receive treatment , according to a report.
- Dr. Peter Stafford, a US medical missionary, tested positive for the Bundibugyo Ebola virus while serving in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
- His wife, Dr. Rebekah Stafford, their four children and an additional doctor are being transported to Berlin’s Charite University Hospital, where Stafford is receiving care.
- They “have departed DRC and are en route to other locations where they can be monitored in close proximity to expert care if needed,” Christian group Serge said in a press release.
- According to the press release, they all remain asymptomatic.
