The widow of London Bridge attacker Rachid Redouane has revealed the challenges of raising their three-year-old daughter who “looks just like him”.

Charisse O'Leary, 41, told The Sun she was haunted by her husband’s crimes and that Redouane – who, along with Khuram Butt and Youssef Zaghba, killed eight people in the 2017 atrocity – had robbed their child of a future.

"It breaks my heart that I can see the face of a terrorist in our daughter. She looks just like him - but there is goodness in her," she said.

"It would have been better if he had killed me and our daughter," she added.

"What kind of a future has he left his daughter with? She will always be the daughter of a terrorist."

Ms O’Leary, who is raising the child in hiding, said her husband even took the toddler to collect the van used in the massacre.

“I still can’t believe it. How could he do that to his own daughter?” she told the newspaper.

He handed the toddler back to Ms O’Leary three hours before the attack, she said.

Redouane was said to have taken his daughter to pick up the van used by the London Bridge terrorists (PA)

She said she knew nothing of his deadly plan until anti-terror police stormed her house the following day.

Ms O'Leary gave evidence at the inquests which found the three attackers were lawfully killed by police after they "ignored clear warning shouts".
