Wide receiver David Moore could return as soon as Week 3

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver David Moore logged an impressive preseason before injuring his shoulder in practice. Diagnosed with a non-displaced fracture in his upper arm, Moore has been sidelined ever since, although he’s remained on the Seahawks 53-man active roster.

“I’ve been pretty optimistic about David’s return, he’s well ahead of schedule, and I don’t know when the doctors are going to let him go,” coach Pete Carroll told reporters Friday. “But he feels great. It’s the kind of injury that’s stable and it doesn’t bother him at all. He doesn’t hardly feel it anymore so, he just has to get cleared with the doctors.”

Carroll didn’t provide an exact timeline for Moore’s return but it’s looking like the wide receiver could be back in action as soon as Week 3 against the Saints.

“He’ll be full speed running all week next week and going for it in hopes to get ready within the following weeks,” Carroll continued. “Not next week but, the following weeks. Whenever that is. We have some guys making some miraculous recoveries around here.”

As for this week, the Seahawks and Bengals are set to kick off Sunday at 1:05 p.m. PT from CenturyLink Field.
