Wicklow v Meath O'Byrne Cup clash called off due to Covid outbreak

Wicklow's O'Byrne Cup clash against Meath this Saturday has been called off due to a reported Covid outbreak.

The GAA pre-season has got underway in the past week but already the season has been hit by a number of Covid outbreaks with Waterford and Clare's McGrath Cup clash scrapped due to Covid.

And now it is understood that there has been a Covid outbreak in the Wicklow camp, causing a postponement in their clash against Meath.

The two teams were set to face at 2 pm on Saturday in Bray in the Leinster GAA pre-season tournament but it has now been called off.

It has not yet been decided if the game will be rescheduled with the GAA pre-season under pressure to be completed in time for the start of the league campaign at the end of January.
