Wicked Part 2 is right around the corner, and we couldn't be more excited to return to Oz with Elphaba, Glinda, and the rest of the crew.
The sequel is sure to be an absolute tearjerker, too, with emotional renditions of multiple famous Broadway songs in store for us. Wicked Part 2 is adapting the second act of the hit musical, so if you're looking to avoid spoilers, don't book tickets for the stage show until later in the year.

Wicked Part 2 release date
Wicked Part 2 will arrive on November 21, 2025. That's almost exactly a year after the first movie released on November 22, 2024.

The final trailer for Wicked: For Good arrived in September. It gives absolutely nothing away about the two new songs, but does let us hear 'No Good Deed' and 'For Good.' It also teases the arrival of Dorothy Gale, along with Elphaba and Glinda's reunion, a rainbow-themed musical number with the Wizard of Oz, and plenty more besides. Check it out above.
The first trailer for Wicked: For Good, meanwhile, arrived in June 2025. That one also includes snippets of 'For Good' and 'No Good Deed.'
A handful of clips have also been released on the official YouTube channel for the movie, including a snippet of 'Thank Goodness' and a young Glinda, as well as Elphaba, the Wizard, and Glinda performing 'Wonderful.'
Wicked Part 2 cast
The Wicked Part 2 cast will see the return of all the major players from Part 1. Speaking about the performances, Jeff Goldblum told ABC Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo will "further thrill you and chill you and devastate you".

Wicked Part 2 plot
The Wicked Part 2 plot will be familiar to fans of the Broadway musical, since it's an adaptation of Act 2. Judging by how faithfully Part 1 adapted Act 1, we can assume this one will also follow the storyline more or less exactly again. What we do know, though, that there are set to be two new original songs, as well as the Broadway songs we know and love (the title is taken from 'For Good,' a real tearjerker).
We won't spoil the whole plot here, but anyone who knows their Wizard of Oz will have an idea at where the story is headed. Expect to see the fallout of Elphaba's big 'Defying Gravity' choice, Glinda in her new role as Glinda the Good, and more love triangle drama between her, Elphaba, and Fiyero.
