There’s one player on the Washington Redskins roster who deserves to be on your team; his name is Derrius Guice, and he’s primed to have a breakout season in Washington.
Guice had built a lot of hype before his rookie season in 2018, but a knee injury sidelined him for the season. Now, a year later, he is back healthy and ready to be the workhorse that the Redskins need. If you were to ask Redskins coach Jay Gruden, he would likely tell you that Guice will be a crucial cog in the offense this season.
Guice only played in one preseason game this year, but he showed everything you’d want to see in that outing, demonstrating quick feet, an ability to cut upfield, and a willingness to lower his shoulder into oncoming defenders.
Guice is currently being drafted as the No. 77 overall player in fantasy — No. 29 running back — according to ESPN. There’s a good chance that he ends up out-performing that ADP, as he is likely to be an every-down back in the Redskins ground-heavy offense.
If you’re yet to draft, or if Guice is available on your waiver wire, give him a look. At his current price, he won’t cause you to lose your league, but there is a good chance he can help you win it.
