Why you'll notice a difference to Stagecoach buses in the North East

Passengers boarding hundreds of Stagecoach buses may notice there are some changes to the fleet.

Stagecoach North East has partnered with The Chronicle Sunshine Fund and to mark the occasion new logos have been put on the fleet.

Logos have been put on buses at the Slatyford and Walkergate depots and will also be added to those at South Tyneside.

It comes after drivers raised thousands of pounds for the charity, which helps hundreds of disabled children across the North East, over Christmas.

Charity Director Siobhan Sargeant said: "It's fabulous to see our logos proudly displayed on Stagecoach buses throughout the region.

"As a charity who provides specialist equipment to disabled children, we look to work with other organisations who share our ethos and strive for inclusion for all.

"We are so impressed with the initiatives Stagecoach run to ensure their transport is suitable for those with specialist needs.

"Not only does our partnership with Stagecoach help us to raise more funds to support local children, it also helps us to reach more families who are in need."

To kick off the partnership, drivers across the depots will be fundraising across Easter, dressed in PJs and Onesies.
