Why wind turbines were placed at Trump’s favourite golf resort

  • Three activists installed six small, replica wind turbines on the fourth hole green at approximately 6:30 am on Monday.
  • The protest aimed to highlight Donald Trump's opposition to wind power and his recent advocacy for increased oil and gas extraction in the North Sea.
  • Activists removed the mock turbines before golfers were disrupted, ensuring the demonstration did not interfere with play.
  • Greenpeace stated that 65 per cent of Scots do not support Mr Trump’s call for more oil and gas, instead favouring renewable energy.
