Why Watford's FA Cup defeat against Manchester City is fantastic news for Wolves

Manchester City's 6-0 victory over Watford in the FA Cup final will send the fans in Blue back up the country with huge smiles on their faces.

Victory over the Hornets gives Pep Guardiola's side a historic domestic treble - with City being the first side to win the Premier League, League Cup and FA Cup in one season.

Vincent Kompany and his team will be celebrating long into the night after lifting the historic trophy, but they're not the only ones.

Another side who will be partying into the early hours are Wolverhampton Wanderers.

As a result of the scoreline at Wembley, Nuno Espirito Santo's side have secured a place in next season's Europa League.

Victory for Watford in the FA Cup would have seen Javi Gracia's side claim the final place in Europe's second competition, but after Manchester City came away victorious it's confirmed that the spot will go to Wolves.

The newly-promoted side had quite a season as they finished 7th in the Premier League, and they'll now have another season of adventures as they prepare to take on the continent in next season's Europe League.
