Why Wales have to wear yellow away kit for Turkey Euro 2020 clash

Wales will wear their yellow and green away kit against Turkey on Wednesday evening.

Rob Page's men wore their red home jersey to take on Switzerland in their opening Euro 2020 match last time out given that they were assigned as the home team.

However, UEFA have made them the away side for their final two group stage matches against Turkey and Italy, in Baku and Rome respectively.

It means they will be in their away kit against Şenol Güneş' side on Wednesday, with Turkey set to be in all red.

Wales have worn their current away kit twice before Euro 2020, for a 0-0 draw against the Republic of Ireland in October 2020 and a 3-1 defeat to Belgium in March 2021.

The majority of the expected 31,000 crowd will be backing Turkey, with Wales set to have around 400 supporters in attendance at Baku Olympic Stadium.

Kick-off is at 5pm (UK time).
