Why Vince McMahon is 'ungodly furious' with WWE stars

The WWE stars have reportedly left boss Vince McMahon 'ungodly furious' after supporting rival firm AEW’s first show.

A couple of current stars, including Sasha Banks and Mick Foley, took to social media as AEW (All Elite Wrestling) made its debut with Double or Nothing.

That has reportedly left the McMahon family fuming, given AEW has been set up as a direct rival to WWE - and its first show featured wrestling legends like Chris Jericho, Bret Hart and Jim Ross.

Banks made clear her support of the show, posting about Kia Stevens - who is known as Awesome Kong - and Foley retweeted the AEW-focused post, leaving McMahon livid over the actions.

“The only thing I can say is that everyone in the McMahon family has to be ungodly furious at all those people who were tweeting because it wasn’t just like Sasha Banks,” reporter and pundit Dave Meltzer told Wrestling Observer Radio .

“They can’t be happy with their own talent tweeting about the rival show and putting it over.”

Meanwhile, Wrestling legend Bret Hart has made a shocking appearance at AEW's debut show, Double or Nothing.

The Hitman was brought out to unveil the new AEW World Championship at the pay-per-view show in Las Vegas.

His appearance was completely unexpected, particularly as his most recent wrestling showings have been with WWE having finally patched up his infamous problems with McMahon and rival Shawn Michaels.

The crowd gave him a thunderous reception was he brought the new belt to the ring.
