Liverpool’s Champions League win tonight means that their May 5 date with Newcastle United is in doubt.
The Reds will take on Barcelona in the semi-finals of the Champions League and if UEFA opt for the second leg on May 7, the St James’ Park clash will be moved. The match could also be on May 8, which would see the game unchanged.
Newcastle United's final home game against Liverpool moved for TV, but may yet shift again , with Sky Sports choosing the match as their live fixture. But if Liverpool’s match against the Catalan giants is on May 7, the match is likely to be moved again – probably back to the Saturday with an evening kick-off likely so the game can be beamed live.

UEFA say on their website that they will announce when the semi-finals will be played “in due course” and confirmation may come as early as Thursday morning.
So far, Newcastle have not put tickets for the match on sale and that is likely to be because they are waiting to hear from the Premier League when the match will be played.
It will be the final home game of the season and a sell-out is assured. It is set to have massive implications for the Premier League title race.
