A busy road between Nailsea and Bristol is to close AGAIN for five days – for further cabling work to be carried out.
A section of the B3130 Bristol Road at Wraxall is to close from December 9 and 13 from 9am to 3pm each day.
The closure is needed to allow Gigaclear to carry out 180 metres of duct works along the B3130 south from its junction with The Grove.
The road is a busy route into Bristol and is used by thousands of commuters each day.
The work is being done outside of rush hour to limit the disruption and during the daytime closure a diversion will be put in place.
But it is expected that the closure will cause disruption to some bus services.
The B3130 and adjoining roads have been subject to a number of closures this year due to cabling work.
Wraxall Hill was closed for 10 days in March followed by The Grove for another two weeks and then Bristol Road B3130 was shut in May and June.
A section of the B3130 from Hillcrest House to Gable Farm was closed yet again at the end of October for five days for further cabling work.
Local residents are hoping the December closure will be the final one needed to complete the work.
One resident said: “It seems to have taken a lot of time and road closures to lay these cables.
“It has been very difficult for local residents has caused significant disruption especially to those who rely on local bus services."
