Nottingham's new e-scooters have been causing a stir over the past month - but some riders are finding that not everyone can use them.
The new addition to the city has been met with mixed reviews, with some saying they're great value and ideal to travel to work on and others saying they're a nuisance.
But the scooters may not be available to everyone, as some readers reported that the scooter did not work for them.
A spokesperson at Wind Mobility told Nottinghamshire Live that the maximum weight of the e-scooter has been capped at 100kgs - just over 15 and a half stone.
They said this is to prevent two people from riding on scooters at the same time and "to ensure a safe performance of the scooter".
But some people have claimed to have seen more than one person riding on the scooters.
Jade Shannon said she had seen two children on one scooter on their way home from secondary school.
She warned that "someone will get hurt".
The new scheme, which is also running in Derby, has seen more than 200 electric scooters become available to hire in Nottingham during a 12-month trial.
Long term hire for key workers costs £30 a month plus a £50 deposit and on-street rental by the minute is available for 12p per minute.
Nottingham City Council backed the introduction of the e-scooters by Wind Mobility - but has said it is looking at ways it can prevent illegal and inconsiderate use.
